Gated Wye Valves. Gated Wye Valves can be installed directly on the fire pump discharge, and/or installed in your hose “run” (e.g., 150 feet from the fire pump) for increased flexibility spraying water over a larger area. 2.5” Gated Wyes, or 2.5” Hydrant Adapters, can be installed on municipal fire hydrants for use when there is an immediate fire and there is no fire agency personnel available. Portable/Wheeled Sprinklers can be positioned near your structure and will continue to run until the Fire Pump runs out of fuel or depletes the water supply. These agricultural Sprinklers have a strong spray of 70 feet radius (140 feet diameter) and can be fed by either 1.5” or 1.0” fire hoses.
Sprinklers have the advantage of running continuously after you evacuate until the Fire Pump runs out of water or fuel. See our Fire Pump Options here for adding auxiliary fuel tank to match your water supply.
