Description
Use with Ponds or Lakes with heavy algae, or water sources that are turbulent with sandy bottom, a Water Filter may be necessary to avoid clogging and damaging the Fire Pump. Filter is rated at 200 GPM capacity and can be easily cleaned. Filter is installed at the Fire Pump intake or on the suction hose (eg, 5 – 15 feet in front of the pump) using Male/Female Cam Lock connectors (standard).
Installation of the filter must result in the clean-out valve being lower than the intake/discharge connections, preferrably vertical if possible.
